Hot Honey Pepperoni Pizza

Hot Honey Pepperoni Pizza

The one that started it all. Crispy cupped pepperoni, melty cheese and a drizzle of hot honey right out of the oven.

  • Serves 2 to 3
  • 15 min prep
  • 12 min bake

What you need

  • 1 lb pizza dough, store-bought is fine
  • 1/3 cup pizza sauce
  • 6 oz low-moisture mozzarella, shredded
  • 3 oz cup-style pepperoni
  • 2 tbsp grated Parmesan
  • 1 to 2 tbsp Little Menace Hot Honey
  • Flour or cornmeal for stretching
  • Optional: fresh basil, red pepper flakes

How to make it

  1. Put a pizza stone or upside-down sheet pan on the middle rack and heat the oven to 500°F for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Let the dough sit at room temperature for 30 minutes so it stretches easily. Stretch it into a 12-inch round on a floured piece of parchment.
  3. Spread the sauce, leaving a 1-inch border. Add the mozzarella, then the pepperoni.
  4. Slide the pizza, parchment and all, onto the hot stone or pan. Bake 10 to 13 minutes, until the crust is deep golden and the pepperoni edges curl up and crisp.
  5. Let it rest 2 minutes. Sprinkle with Parmesan, then drizzle the hot honey over the top, especially into those little pepperoni cups.

Menace tip: Drizzle after baking, not before. Honey burns fast in a 500°F oven.
